Epicodus open house for prospective students

Epicodus is a 20 week, full time, in-person class on programming. You'll learn everything you need to know to get a job as a web developer or build your startup's app.

At Epicodus, you'll learn how to build web applications from top to bottom with modern technologies and practices. More importantly than any particular skill, though, you'll learn how to think like a programmer, write good code, and pick up new languages and technologies in this fast-changing industry.

We currently offer two courses: one covering PHP, JavaScript, and Drupal, and one covering Ruby, JavaScript, and Rails.

Stop in to meet our staff, see the classroom and ask lots of questions. And if you're working on the pre-class homework from learnhowtoprogram.com we can help with that!

Check out our FAQ: http://www.epicodus.com/faq.html

Workfrom Wednesday

What better week to return downtown than for Portland Startup Week? http://portland.startupweek.co

We'll be meeting at Floyd's -- conveniently off the Max, near the bus and with plenty of bike parking and a short walk over the bridge for folks who like to park for free. There's also street & lot parking. It's also a short jaunt from the new Crowd Compass, where they're hosting this month's Lunch 2.0.http://www.meetup.com/Portland-Lunch-2-0/events/218705519/

More about Floyd's on Workfrom.co @https://workfrom.co/floyds-coffee-old-town

Find us sitting in the back room tables and booths. And if it's nice out, a few of us may sit outside. (There's power out there!) You'll recognize us by the Workfrom.co stickers on our laptops -- and friendly smiles.

This meetup is organized by the fine community of Workfrom.co members who believe in the freedom of choosing their workspace and supporting local business owners. If you haven't yet, join the community at https://workfrom.co/join

Can't make Wednesday or want to organize a meetup on a different day? Hit up Darren or Jewel and they'll hook you up.

Talk. Present. Talk some more.

If you'd like to present a connected project you're working on, or would like to work on, or wish someone else would work on, let me know and I'll add you to the agenda.

In the absence of presenters, this will just be a time to mingle and meet other people interested in the Internet of Things.
